BLOM BANK was awarded “Best Bank in Lebanon for 2012” from the renowned international institution Banker Middle East. The awards ceremony for best banking and financial performance in the Middle East took place at the Emirates Towers Hotel in Dubai on 12/6/2012, and was attended by a select, high-level managers from various banking and financial institutions in the region.

The “Best Bank in Lebanon for 2012” award crowns in fact the other awards that BLOM BANK received from Banker Middle East and other prominent institutions in 2012; and, as important, it adds to the “Best Bank in the Middle East for 2009” award, the first award of its kind given by the same institution to a Lebanese bank. The award also commends BLOM BANK’s leading role in the Lebanese banking system and its prominent regional role; and it is a testimony to BLOM BANK’s strength in maintaining steady profits and a solid balance sheet, especially in the current difficult operating climate characterized by political turmoil at the domestic and regional levels and international financial crises at the international level.

In his turn, Mr Saad Azhari, Chairman and General Manager of BLOM BANK, said that “the Bank highly appreciates the award for it points to the Bank’s continued success and the success of its conservative strategies, in addition to the measured dynamism that characterizes the supply of its excellent universal services and the spread of its regional presence” . Mr Azhari also “thanked Banker Middle East for this valuable award, which will serve as an incentive for the Bank to strive always for better services and Peace of Mind to its customers”.
